Joe "Curt" Curtis Blair

Joe Curtis “Curt” Blair, age 90, of Surgoinsville, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023. He was a retiree of AFG (Cardinal Glass) after 33+ years of service. He was a veteran of the US Military having served in the Army. Curt was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and a long standing member of Jenkin’s Chapel Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Mae Blair; son, Wesley Curtis Blair; parents, Joe and Vivian Blair; and 2 sisters, Bernice “Mrs. Ralph Cox” and Judy Roller. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry McDaniel and husband, Al; and a special canine, Dude McDaniel. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Jenkin’s Chapel Church Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Carr officiating. All those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50 pm.
