Joel Edgar Greve

JOEL E. GREVE, age 53 of Madison, passed away at his home Friday March 20, 2015. He was born in Chilton, Wisconsin on November 21, 1961 to Edgar and Marilyn (Renken) Greve. Joel grew up in Port Washington then the family moved to Pocatello, Idaho where he graduated from Pocatello High School and then he graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in Finance. He had been a computer programmer for Electronic Data Systems in Detroit Mich. and Portland Oregon, most recently with Time Warner. Joel also earned a degree in Bio-Technology from the Madison Area Technical College in Madison. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, fishing, camping and mountain biking. He enjoyed visiting many National Parks and taking photos of all of his trips. He will be deeply missed by his family, including parents Edgar and Marilyn Greve of Fort Atkinson; sisters; Julie (Rich) Vurva of Fort Atkinson, Janis Greve (Randall Knoper) of Amherst, Mass.; brothers John (Fiona) Greve of Wellington, New Zealand; James (Betty) Greve of Wheaton, Ill.; and Jason (Vicki) Greve of Midland, Mich.; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson with the Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
