It is with great pain and sorrow the we announce the loss of our loved one Joel "Oso" Maldonado on Friday January 24,2020 at the age of 40. Joel "Oso" Maldonado was the loving charismatic son of Catherine Vargas. He was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico where he presently resided. He attended Valley High School. Joel "Oso" Maldonado was proceeded in death by his grandparents Louis and Rose Garcia. Joel is survived by his loving partner of 20 years Ernestine, children Amanda, Rita, Jessie and Junior. Grandchildren Aiden, Jesse, and Maya. His loving mother Catherine two brothers Jerry and Guadalupe, three sisters Jessica, Alexandra and Angel. Nieces Destiny, Analyse and Mariah. Nephews Joseph, Josiah, Joshua and Ambrosio. Also, by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Joel was loved by all. Services will be held on Thursday February 6, 2020 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at: Riverside Funeral Home 225 San Mateo Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87108 Flowers can also be sent to the address above for Joel "Oso" Maldonado.
