Melody- Joel Curtis 25 of Treasure Island died Thursday February 24, 2005. A native of St. Petersburg, he was a graduate of Dixie Hollins High School and the Florida Culinary Institute. He was a restaurant chef. He was a member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, was an avid Scuba Diving enthusiast, fisherman and dirt bike rider. Survivors include his father Walter H. "Corky" Melody of St. Petersburg; a brother Jason Melody of St. Petersburg; two sisters Jessica and Jillian Melody both of Treasure Island; his paternal grandmother Freda Melody of St. Petersburg; his maternal grandmother Barbara Smith of St. Petersburg; his maternal great-grandmother Mary Tabak of Middletown CT and a niece Desiree Melody of Brandon. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg. Visitation Sunday, February 27 2005 at David C. Gross Funeral Home.
