Joel Guzman Mendoza, 78, of Salinas, passed away on March 29, 2018. He was born on November 8, 1939 in Michoacan, Mexico. Joel is survived by his children: Joel Gusman, Ulises Mendoza, Suehay Mendoza and Alfredo Mendoza. His sisters, Nicolasa Sanchez and Maria Guadalupe Mendoza, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Antonio Mendoza Sr., mother Esther Mendoza, brothers Antonio Mendoza Jr. and Rogelio Mendoza. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 1-6pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA 93905. A Rosary vigil will take place on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 7:30pm at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church 11140 Preston St. Castroville, CA 95012. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, April 6, 2018 11am at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church 11140 Preston St. Castroville, CA 95012. Burial to follow services at the Castroville District Cemetery 8442 Moss Landing Rd Moss Landing, CA 95039.
