Joey Martinez

Joey Martinez 54, a resident of Espanola NM passed away peacefully and gained his wings to eternal life with our heavenly Father with his family by his side on January 21, 2023. His smile was infectious, and he always made you feel loved and valued. He enjoyed playing and loving on his grandson Isaiah Vigil. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joey was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved Father Ramon Martinez, Mother Alice Martinez, Brothers; Timmy Martinez and Aaron Martinez, Half-sister Virginia Martinez, Nephew Emeri Montoya, and Cousin Patsy Rivera-Neuman. He is survived by his companion/caregiver Lola Esquibel, Sisters; Taylor Valdez, Michelle Martinez, Half-brother Raymond Martinez, Uncle Levi Valdez whom he considered as a Father. He is also survived by other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Creations in Christ Ministries at 314 N Riverside Dr, Espanola, NM on February 9, 2023, at 11:00 am. Reception will be held in the same location. Internment will take place at The Apostolic of Jesus Christ Cemetery in Velarde NM. Highway 68 County Rd 41, Velarde, NM.
