Leave a tribute

John was born December 3, 1959 in Marion, Indiana to Mark and Carolyn (Sparling) Baldwin. He graduated from Marion High School. John was also a proud graduate of the University of Florida in 1983. John was a probation officer for Starke County for many years and also served as a volunteer EMT and volunteer firefighter during this time. Over the past few years, John worked as the primary care giver for his parents Mark and Carolyn. John enjoyed hiking and walking on the beach, as well as boating, fishing and spending time with his kids.He loved watching football and was a proud supporter of the Florida Gators. John was also well known for his cooking abilities and his love of music - he often sang and played his guitar. He will be missed dearly. Poem of Life Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be, A resting place along the road, To sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, But never meant to stay... Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know, For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the lord.
