"John Stanley Banas, 94, previously of Miller Drive, Warren MA, died on July 1, 2010. He was born on October 11, 1915 in Warren, MA, son of Martin Banas and Karolina (Krupska) Banas formerly of Poland. John lived his entire life in Warren and retired in 1978 from Warren Pump Company after 29 years of employment. He was a real estate broker starting in 1961. He was also a member of the Quaboag Sportsman's Club and an avid automobile enthusiast. John is survived by his two sons, John M. Banas and spouse Kathy of Warren, and Thomas M. Banas and spouse Pat of Fiskdale. He is also survived by a brother Conrad Banas of Bolton CT, beloved cousin John Wojcik of Ware MA, close friend and caretaker Hebrew A. Tongas, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Rose (Gondek), a brother Alfred Banas and Aunts Stella and Adella. A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday July 9, 2010 at the Pine Grove Cemetery Warren, MA.. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren Rescue Squad, Main St Warren MA, 01083 or Overlook Hospice, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
