John Vance Best, IV

John Vance Best IV, 67, of West Deptford, NJ, passed away on Wednesday March 23rd, 2022. John attended West Deptford High School as well as Glassboro State College. He was in sales most of his career however made a drastic career change a few years back. John is one of those rare people to find a job you enjoy doing. John thrived at his most recent role as an addiction's counselor. He had a passion for getting people the help they needed. He demonstrated what Jesus taught about loving your neighbor. John regularly attended Calvary Chapel of South Jersey church services as well as their addiction program on Friday nights, almost always picking up friends who needed a ride to the meetings. John's love for Jesus was evident by the fruit in his life. He loved people and would always put himself last. Beyond Jesus, John's passion was his children and grandchildren. He often shared photos of his kids and grandkids and rave about how much God has blessed him and that he was undeserving. John opened his home to those in need, helping any way he knew how. Family John is the father of John V. 5th (Angela), Lauren (Nicholas) Story, & Brittany Best. Children's mother Lorraine Celona. Beloved grandfather of Jackson Best, Giuliana Best, June Story, & Violet Story. Son of the late John Vance Best III & Kathryn Jeanne Best (Gindlesperger). Brother to Kathryn (John) Strony, William Best, James (Laura) Best, Robert Best, Kelly (Fred Jr.) Vergara, Lisa Frannicola, Joseph (Raeph Laughingwell), Best, and the late Thomas Best. John is an adored uncle to many nieces and nephews. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service Sunday April 10th at 3:00PM at Calvary Chapel of South Jersey, 1210 Hessian Ave, West Deptford, NJ 08093 In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in John's name to JCs Drug Addiction Treatment Center in Hollywood, Florida.
