John Charles Cattaneo, 93 of Satellite Beach, left the earthly life he so loved on April 19, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family, to unite with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John was born in Nanuet, NY on August 4, 1930, the only son of Stephen and Angela (Beltrami) Cattaneo. He was a retired vice president of Manufacturing for Harris Corporation and a 52 year parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus. After serving in the United States Navy, John earned his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Master’s degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with honors in both. A proud Brother in THETACHI fraternity. John was a beloved husband of 64 years, a loving father and grandfather. John was an avid sportsman, including golf, fishing, hunting, and participating in 5K events. He also loved traveling, and cooking. You could always find him present at all sporting and musical events involving his grandchildren in whom he took great pride in, relishing in their accomplishments. John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Inez Cattaneo Weidenmiller. John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Louise (Dodson) Cattaneo, his daughters, Stephanie Kinder (Rob) and Jo Allyson Cattaneo Russell (Scott), his son, John Cattaneo (Andrea Augustine); six grandchildren, Jonathan Kinder, Benjamin Kinder, Abby (Kinder) Crom, Kirra Russell, Jack and Nick Cattaneo. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 29th from 10:30 – 11:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Hwy A1A, Indialantic, Florida. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 am. Military honors will follow the mass and will be accorded by the US Navy Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the Cattaneo family request that memorial contributions may be made in “honor of John Cattaneo” to St. Jude’s or the Ronald McDonald
