John Civettini

John (Giovanni) Civettini, 87, of Bridgeville, PA passed away March 16, 2014 in Gilbert, AZ. John was born March 29, 1926 in Torbole, Italy to Cristoforo and Valeria Civettini. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Antonietta (Pasquali). We, his family, are THANKFUL! We are thankful that John lived a long and very full life. That he was strong and hale and intelligent until the end of his days. We are thankful for his humor and his wisdom and for the life lessons he taught us. We are thankful that in this past year, John was able to spend time living with his Daughter, Patricia (John) Striner in PA and with his Son, John Paul (Jennifer) Civettini in Gilbert, AZ; He was able to enjoy visiting with his Grandchildren, Jason (Shannon) Striner, Kristy (Jason) Lammert and Giancarlo Civettini and to hold, love and spoil his Great-Grandchildren Gracie and Miles Lammert and Hailey Striner. We are THANKFUL that he was able to spend his last days doing what he loved, sitting in the fresh air and sun, enjoying fruit from the trees and listening to Italian music. And that when he passed, he was home surrounded by people who loved him. We are comforted that he is once again in the loving company of his wife, Antonietta, his brothers Tony and Luciano, and his beloved Granddaughter Nicole Striner. His presence will be missed by his family, including his Brother, Gino Civettini of Quebec, Canada and his sisters, Sr. Valeria Civettini of Trento, Italy and Lucia Breciani of Riva, Italy as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy, his friends in Bridgeville, PA and all who knew him. Arrangements entrusted to Falconer Funeral Home of Gilbert, AZ after which, the family will take him home to Italy for internment.
