John Stephen Coghlan Resident of Brentwood March 10, 1939 to January 14, 2013 John passed peacefully Monday January 14th surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 54 years, and three daughters: Laurie Korner (Bob) of Pittsburg, Debbie Sacks of Concord and Cathy Coghlan Urani (Christopher) of Walnut Creek. He also leaves 4 grandchildren Brian (Erin), Stephanie (Christopher), Robbie and Jessica and 4 great grandchildren (Isaac, Caden, Alexis aka "Two Shoes" and Spencer). John was the son of John Christopher and Rebecca Winifred Coghlan both Irish immigrants. John was the first generation born in San Francisco, attended Poly High in SF where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy. John served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. John had a successful career in transportation working with the Port of Oakland and then self-employed. John was a devoted SF Forty Niner fan, a great sense of humor and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. John will receive military honors at the Sacramento National Cemetery at a private burial following with a Celebration of Life in the future. Private Committal
