John Dale
August 14th, 1919 - April 2nd, 2013
John Thomas Dale was born August 14, 1919 and passed away April 2, 2013. He was born and raised in St Louis and moved to Cocoa Beach with his family in 1960. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri and worked his entire career with McDonnell Aircraft. Early and late in his career he worked on jet fighters including the F-4 and F-18. In 1960 he moved to the Space Coast to work on the Mercury and Gemini programs. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Naomi Dale, children; Brian, John, James and Constance, and grandchildren; Avery, Naomi Hollis and Allison. A memorial service will be held Sunday April 7th at 3pm at the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach, with a reception afterwards in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Doctors without borders or to the Boy Scouts of America.
