John H Davenport

"Belchertown - John H. Davenport, 69, passed away on April 14, 2018 at home with the love of his family by his side. Born June 17, 1948 in Brockton, MA, he was the son of Harwood and Gertrude (Erickson) Davenport. John grew up in Brockton and has lived in Belchertown for the past 44 years. During semi-retirement, John enjoyed being a professional driving school instructor for various schools, most recently Pioneer Driving School in Amherst. John loved sports and was an avid Giants fan. He was a jokester and was liked by all who met him. He also enjoyed gardening but his greatest passion was spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by wife of 50 years, Donna M (Ring), along with his two daughters, Michelle Ventura and her husband Thomas of Belchertown, and Deanna Fruwirth and her husband Daniel of Agawam. He also leaves five grandchildren, Kevin Fruwirth, Katie Brier, Meghan Fruwirth, Nicholas Brier and wife Niqueal, and Gabriella Ventura as well as one great granddaughter, Delaney Brier. Sister, Jayne Lane of NC and brothers, Richard and Ronald Davenport of Rockland also survive him. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and all services will be privately held for the family."
