John F Del Guidice

"Belchertown-John F. Del Guidice, 88, passed away September 21, 2019. Born October 28,1930, he was the son of Marco and Delia (Connely) Del Guidice. John was raised in New Rochelle, NY and proudly served his country in the US Navy during Korean War. John married Anne B. (Davis) in 1951. They moved to Long Island, NY, where they lived and raised their 5 children. He worked as an electrician for the Local #3 IBEW in New York, until his retirement. John enjoyed fishing, bike riding and baseball. Summers were spent annually on the Cape and much time was enjoyed by the family at Jones Beach, Long Island. John was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in New York. Since 2017, he has lived with his daughter, Suzanne Holt, and her family, in Belchertown. Along with his wife of 67 years, he leaves their five children, Mark Del Guidice and fiancée Deb of Concord, MA, Michael Del Guidice and Christine of Valley Stream, NY, Carolyn Scheriff and Joseph of East Islip, NY, Laura Del Guidice and fiancé Ken of Carlsbad, CA, and Suzanne Holt and C.J. of Belchertown. He also leaves 14 grandchildren along with ten great grandchildren. Services with military honors will be Thursday, September 26 at Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 4199 Webster Ave., The Bronx, NY 10470. A gathering will follow at Rory Dolan's, 890 McClean Ave., Yonkers, NY 10704. Beers & Story Belcherotwn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements."
