John Waldron Dunkle

Dunkle, John Waldron ?Jack?, 84, of St. Petersburg, died Monday Dec. 4, 2006 at Lexington Health & Rehabilitation Center, under the care of Hospice of The Florida Suncoast. He was born in Lewisburg, PA and moved to St. Petersburg in 1968. He was a graduate of Bucknell University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Westinghouse Corporation during WWII and was instrumental in the development of Radar. He later owned a Pontiac dealership, restaurant and bowling alley. After moving to St. Petersburg, he worked in the Marine field. He was an avid Florida Gators fan. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Evelyn; sons, John H. Dunkle of St. Petersburg and James S. Dunkle of Tierra Verde, daughter in law, Margaret H. Dunkle of Tierra Verde, and granddaughter, Christine N. Dunkle of St. Petersburg.
