"Palmer - John E. Dustin Sr., 76, of River St., died unexpectedly on October 15, 2016. He was born September 26, 1940 in Springfield, MA son of Edgar and Lillian (Conlon) Dustin. He has lived in Palmer for over 50 years and was the owner of Dusty's garage. John retired, from Hoover Universal in Springfield as a mold maker. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing at Quabbin Reservoir and was an avid New England sports team fan. John was known as, White Fox, among his CB radio friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy (White) Dustin. John was a devoted and loving father to nine children, Patti Legge of Southbridge, Debbie Greenia of Spofford, NH, David Perkins and wife Sherry of Monson, Lynda Wood of Ware, Kenneth Legge and his wife Kathy of Belchertown, John Dustin Jr. of W.Hartford, CT, Joan Dustin of Ware, Paula Dearness and her husband Chris of North Platte, NE, and Charles Dustin of Wilbraham. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Fri, October. 21 from 10-12:00 p.m. followed by a service at 12:00 pm at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield. Contributions may be made to the family to assist with the funeral expenses. "
