Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY VERSAILLES- John D. "Jack" Etherington, 86, husband of Florence Cosby Etherington, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He was born in Versailles, KY to the late Thomas H. and Francis Batalia Etherington on January 18, 1928. Mr. Etherington was a retired employee of Texas Instruments and a Decorated Veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Gina Marie Broughton, Versailles, Geri (Alan) George, Versailles, Linda Jo (Norman) Gribbins, Campbellsville, Tony (Beth) Etherington, Lexington and Bethany (Jason) Stork, CA; his sisters, Wanda Goodknight, IN and Catherine Mullin, Louisville; his brother, Tom Etherington, Richmond; and his grandchildren, Heather Broughton, Ashley and Emily George, Logan and Abby Etherington, Isabelle, Evelyn, and Emma Milburn, and Daniel and John Stork. He is preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Giles and his brother, Joe Etherington. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held 10:00am, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Danny Schwendeman officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers are his nephews, Tom Etherington, Jim Etherington, Kevin Mullin, Kyle Mullin, Gary Giles, Glen Giles and Tim Giles. Honorary casketbearers are Ben Chandler, Moss Vance, Donnie Etherington, Bill Alcoke and Brian Goodknight. Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the church.
