John Leslie Flood, 80, passed away May 10, 2014 at Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his father Leslie Flood, his mother Clara Flood, and his brother Donald Flood. He is survived by his wife Alice of 52 years, his sons Andrew (Kelli), Patrick (Shelley) and daugther Laura. Five grandchildren Brittany, Mitchell, Austin, Logan and Camryn, all of Colorado. Numerous friends, collegues, and former students. John was born in Denver, CO. He was a 1951 graduate of North High School, and a graduate of University of Denver. He earned a masters degree at the University of Oregon in Eugene. He served in the United States Army, and returned to Denver. He was Vice President of the Colorado National Bank for several years, as well as teaching in the banking industry. In 1966 he began a teaching career at Regis University of Denver, in Administrative Science. In recognition of 33 years of distinguished service to Regis, he retired as a Professor Emeritus in 1999. John was also president of Contacts Influential of Colorado for 20 years. John volunteered for many years at the Mullen Home-The Little Sisters of the Poor. His sense of humor was infectious, and his big heart made him friend to everyone he met.
