John T Fuller

Mr. John T. Fuller, 46, entered peacefully into heaven on February 19, 2017. As John faced his lengthy battle against cancer with courage and dignity, he was always surrounded by his loving family and many close friends. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lisa Maksimowitz Fuller; daughters Emma, 15, and Marin, 10; step daughter Taylor Haley, son-in-law Jody Haley, grandson, Read Haley; nephews Miles and Owen Maksimowitz. John is survived by his mother Barbara Brosco of Ecuador; his father, William J. Fuller and his wife Teddi Swanson of California. John was born in California on December 26, 1970 and made SC his home in 2009. A gifted athlete, John became a fixture in the Charleston Professional Tennis League, playing on a number of USTA teams over the past three years, and going all the way to a state championship. John was not only a fierce competitor but also the consummate sportsman, saying he was proud to play and keep up with the local professionals, many of whom were years younger than he. Remarkably, in his last season, while suffering from an advanced stage of cancer, John played two matches – winning one of them. John was also passionate about professional football and a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers. He enjoyed fishing and playing the drums. John will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and a faithful friend. A devout Christian, John and his family value their relationship with the Seacoast Church, Mt Pleasant, where a Celebration of Life Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, March 4, details to follow.
