John "Charlie" Charles Gordon

John Charles Gordon (Charlie) born May 18, 1929, to Ernest and Lora Gordon in Shallow Water TX, He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on February 4, 2016, at the age of 86. Grandpa was a God fearing, hardworking man who never met a stranger. Anyone who knew him knew he liked to tell jokes, give big hugs and put a smile on your face. Grandpa brightened the lives of all he came into contact with. We are thankful for the Godly influence he instilled upon us all. He led a life that was a perfect example on how to serve and follow the Lord wholeheartedly. What a blessing it was for him to be the beginning of five generations. Survived by wife of 6 years Judith Gordon of Corning, CA, Son Chuck Gordon of Carmichael, CA, Daughters Vivian Sotelo of Orland, CA, Beverly Vest of Chico, CA, and Sharon McKenzie of Corning, CA, two Stepsons, Ernest Kudron of Denver, CO, Edward Kudron of Montrose, CO, and over 60 Grandchildren. Preceded in death by loving wife of 57 years Dovie Lavon Gordon (Lister), two Sons, Daniel Leroy Gordon and John Lee Gordon, two Grandsons, Jeremy Charles Vest and Gregory Charles Gordon, Great Grandson, Isaiah Christopher Earl Lawrence. Services will be officiated by Reverend Donald Riddlesberger of Carmichael, CA, on February 13th at 11:00 am. Taking place at Harvest Christian Center, 1006 South Street, Corning, CA, 96021.
