John V. Hurtado

In loving memory of John Hurtado October 28, 1976-February 24, 2024. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John V.Hurtado at the age of 47. John beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle & friend. John was raised and lived in Pena Blanca, NM. He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Hurtado. Paternal grandparents Vicente & Alvina Hurtado. Maternal grandparents Rose & Juan Vigil. He is survived by his wife Lisa Hurtado and their children Angelina Hurtado (Jordan) & Patrick Hurtado (Adriana). His grandchildren Scarlette & Alonzo Lerma, Romeo & Roman Hurtado. His mother Emily Hurtado, his sister Patricia Mares (Leonard) & nephew Joshua Mares (Kim). His in laws Lawrence & Cynthia Torrez and brother in law Abram Torrez (Andrea). His nephews Abram & Duke Torrez and great nephew & niece Zachariah & Dani Jade Mares. As well as countless family and friends. John was employed by UPS and Santa Fe Regional Airport. He enjoyed his workouts at Mandrills gym and he loved fishing, but his favorite was spending time with family & friends especially his grandchildren. John would and could put a smile on everyone's face and always had something funny to say. Catholic services will be held on Saturday March 9th. Rosary at 10am with funeral mass at 11:30am with burial after the mass. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pena Blanca. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering our John. May he rest peacefully in Gods Kingdom.
