John William Huth
March 21st, 1953 - March 14th, 2012
John was born in California and he passed away in Portland, Oregon. John graduated from Sunset High School and went on to receive his bachelors from the University of Oregon. He was working as a benefits analyst for City County Insurance at the time of his passing. He previously worked for Tektonix Benefits and Retirement Department. Among other things John enjoyed music and he played the piano well. He loved astronomy and was an avid Star Trek fan, he also enjoyed running. John was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Multnomah Athletic Club. He is survived by his wife, Sally; mother, Charlotte; brother, Jim (Cheryl); nephews, Bradley and Daniel; niece, Caitlyn; cousin, Mary Rife; and step children, Robert Bates, Steven Bates, and Cheryl Yoder. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis V. Huth. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday March 25, 2012 at the Multnomah Athletic Club, Portland. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Autumn Funerals, Cremation & Burial, Tigard, Oregon.
