Yianni (John) was born in Pyrgos, Kalamata Greece on November 30, 1950. He moved to America with his family in 1967. Yianni had a passion for singing in the Greek language around the world which brought him joy and opportunity to travel, which he loved to do. He is survived by brothers Petro and Louie; sisters Koula and Stavroula (Stella), mother Paraskevi, also son 17 years old Mario. He was a great father to three sons. He had many roles as a family member and was loved by all including his fans. His legacy will continue from Mario as Yianni lives on in him. 'You were the best father I could have asked for. God could not have provided me with a better father. Now what remains of you lives in me. You won't ever be forgotten. Enjoy eternal life in paradise beside our Lord. I love you BaBa' Your son, Mario Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at David C. Gross Funeral Home in Clearwater, 830 N. Belcher Rd. from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, with Trisagion service at 6 PM. Funeral service will be 1 PM Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 409 Old Coachman Road, Clearwater. Burial will follow in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Belcher Road Chapel in Clearwater is serving the family. Service Information
