June 10th, 1947 - January 9th, 2021
John Danny Laurens of Columbia passed away January 9, 2021 at Pruitt Health Blythewood after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born June 10, 1947 in Camden SC to Kenneth and Martha Laurens. He was a graduate of USC School of Pharmacy. He is survived by his brother, Broadus Lanny Laurens (Susie); a nephew, Eddie (Melissa), and a great niece, Abby. The family wishes to thank Ginny Lou Smith, a loving cousin and Pruitt Health Blythewood.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
