John G. Logan
February 7th, 1946 - November 9th, 2013
John G. Logan, Sr., 67 of Gloversville, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 9, 2013 following a short illness. Born on February 7, 1946 in Gloversville, He was the son of the late Bernard S. and Jessica D. Lake Logan. John was a 1963 graduate of Gloversville High School and a 1967 graduate of Norwich University in Vermont. John then proudly served his country in the US Army. He was employed as a manufacturing manager for various companies including Kraft Foods and General Electric Co. In his younger years he enjoyed playing volleyball and golfing. John was also an accomplished skier and enjoyed competing when he was younger. He was survived by two sons: John G. Patty Logan, Jr. of Queensbury and Jeffrey W. Patti Logan of Melbourne, FL; four grandchildren: Sarah Logan and Nicholas Logan both of Queensbury and Ashley Logan and Jeffrey Logan Jr. both of Melbourne, FL; one great-grandchild: Emma Logan of Melbourne, FL; a brother: Richard J. Linda Logan of Gloversville; two sisters: Susan J. Lebo of Esperance and Martha J. Logan-King of Oswego; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 1PM until 3PM on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, where a memorial service will be held at 3PM. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
