John G. Lopez, 65 Psalm 73:26 my flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever John Gonzalez Lopez, 65, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away, Friday, May 28, 2021. Our father was born October 13, 1955 in Tucson, Arizona to Ramona Patino. He graduated from Pueblo High School in 1974 and join the United States Army the same year. He dedicated 20 years to serving hiscountry and retired in 1994. He was a proud veteran and spoke highly about serving throughout his life. On March 13, 1976, our father married the love of his life, Dora Diane Basurto at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Roman Catholic Church in Tucson. Their love and union lasted over 45 years and together they had three children. Throughout their years together, they traveled the country and world. Our father loved music, especially Mexican music. He would sing to us all the time, whether it was Mariachi or Tejano music. He loved it and we loved him for it because as we grew our love for the same music grew with us. We will forever miss the way he can make a room laugh at his jokes. His laughter was contagious and you would laugh just because he would. He will forever be missed. He is survived by his wife, Dora Diane Lopez; son, John B. Lopez Jr.; daughters, Serena Lopez, Monique Carranza; son-in-law, Ruben Carranza; grand-daughters, Hannah Lopez, Charlize Lopez, Emma Carranza, Ava Carranza; sisters, Margaret Ortiz, Guadalupe Rosthenhausler, Rosemary Alcantar; brothers, Jerry Capone, Frank Alcantar and countless other family members and friends.
