John P. Luciano
April 10th, 1948 - February 15th, 2014
Mr. John P. Luciano, Jr., 65, of Tribes Hill passed away peacefully on February 15, 2014 at St. Mary's Healthcare in Amsterdam. Born in Fort Plain, NY on April 10, 1948 he is the son of the late John P. and Madeline Zazzaro Luciano, Sr. John was raised in Fonda where he is a graduate of the Fonda Fultonville High School. John is also a veteran of the United States Navy, he served from 1968 until 1972. He worked for General Electric as an Electrician for 35 Years, and was a member of the Local #301. John was a member of the American Legion Post #701, a Life Time member of the NRA, being an avid outdoors-man he is a longtime member of the Tribes Hill Fish & Game Club and TOPS 911 of Amsterdam. John also participated in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop #34, he served as a Scout Master and District Manager. He also enjoyed bowling with his wife and was an avid clock builder and collector. John is a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church. Survivors include his loving wife of forty two years, Linda A. Saulinskas Luciano, two sons, Benjamin J. Luciano Suellen of Virginia Beach, VA, and Anthony D. Luciano Jaime of Gloversville; beloved grandchildren Claire E. Luciano, Reid A. Luciano, Alexa J. Luciano and Emmily G. Luciano. He is also survived by Antoinette Roome and Tressa Repeppi along with several cousins. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave. Amsterdam, NY 12010 from 4pm until 6pm. A prayer service will follow at 6pm. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Cecelia's Cemetery in Fonda. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in John's memory to the American Heart Association, the Tribes Hill Fish & Game Club or to the Tribes Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
