JOHN “PAUL” LYDON Passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the age of 82 at his home in Gig Harbor , Washington. Born on January 2, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Catherine (O’Brien) and Henry G. Lydon. He is survived by his beloved wife Gael (Ronald) of 50 years; three daughters, Donna (Lydon) Myers of Rockland, Massachusetts, Virginia “Gigi” Lydon of Rockland, Massachusetts and Michelle “Shelley” Lydon of Whitman, Massachusetts and two granddaughters, Alexandra and Ashley. He was also the loving brother to the late Gerard, Robert, Walter, Caroline and one surviving brother, William of Lake Worth, Florida. Paul graduated from Dorchester High School in 1953. After graduating he attended Dean Junior College and then became a member of the National Guard and served his country for three years. He then went on to work in Boston. Shortly thereafter he moved to the West Coast. He was employed at APSCO Office Products in Beverly Hills, California and Sheaffer Eaton Textron in Portland, Oregon. After many years on the West Coast he moved to Gig Harbor, Washington and has lived there with his wife Gael for the last 20 years. Paul is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Paul was loved by all and was always there to lend a helping hand. His love for people and animals was infectious and he will be sadly missed by all. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 24 from 5 - 8 pm at Edwards Memorial at 3005 Bridgeport Way W., University Place, WA.
