August 24th, 1939 - October 2nd, 2016
Obituary Born in Utica, Michigan to the late Ethel and Henry May, John is survived by his wife, Jane; his sons, Christopher and Matthew; and his sister, Marylyn. John was a resident of Colorado Springs since 1968. He was an amateur nature photographer, hiker, jogger, cyclist, and, in the later years of his life, an avid geocacher. John attended the University of Michigan, graduating in 1964 with a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics followed by a Masters in Physics in 1965. After John retired from a long an loyal career as a defense contractor and project manager at ITT, he retired and lived his life with passion, dignity, and loving care for his family as well as the geocaching community. Per Jane's requset, please dress casual for the event from 2-5 pm. 'In lieu of flowers contributions to trail/wilderness preservation or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be greatly appreciated.'
