🕯️ Shortly after Andrea and I started dating, Boompie invited us to play a round of golf with him. I had known him since I was in grammar school but welcomed the opportunity to get to know him a little better. We went to Marquette Park, a tough little public course in the neighborhood; lots of water. It was the first time Andrea and I ever golfed. All those years of being a teacher and a coach must have paid off because he was extremely patient and helpful as he taught us about the finer points of the game. I quickly learned what “taking it out on two, hitting three” meant. We continued to play together for years until it became too difficult for him to swing the club. I’ll always cherish the memories of the good times we had. We will miss you Boompie!
