John J. Mullen
October 5th, 1947 - November 29th, 2008
"John J. Mullen, Jr., 61, of Off Breckenridge St., died Sunday at UMASS Medical Center. Born in Springfield, October 5, 1947, he was the son of Beatrice (North) Mullen of Palmer and the late John J. Mullen (2000). A lifelong resident of Palmer, he graduated from Monson Academy and Franklin Pierce College. John served his country in the Army during the Vietnam era. Following his military commitment, he had previously worked in the family business, Palmer Trucking. He was a member of the Thomas Lodge of Masons and a former corporator of Monson Savings Bank. Besides his mother, he will be deeply missed by his sister Evelyn Glabicky and her husband Michael, his brother Jason and his wife Kathleen, along with his nephew Christopher Glabicky, all of Palmer. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., followed by burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. For those wishing, donations may be made to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 42B Wright St, Palmer. "
