John C Musgrave
October 13th, 1925 - December 9th, 2020
John Clyde Musgrave 1925-2020 Our Dad passed away peacefully at home on December 9, 2020. He was born in Filer, Idaho to his parents, John Clyde and Ivey Musgrave. He was raised with his siblings Helen, Mary, and Marjorie. He was teased by his sisters and I assure you he was incredibly good at giving it back! He was 18 when he joined the Navy and was stationed on the USS Cimarron and was honorably discharged in 1946. A year later in April, Dad married (Frances) Louise Montgomery. They moved to California and had their first child, Brock, in 1951. They moved back to Idaho and settled in Boise where David was born in 1952, Becky in 1954 and Cindy in 1955. We were told as kids Mom and Dad bought a TV in 1953 and did not have time to have a baby. Dad worked for Mountain Bell for 35 years and retired early so he and Mom could travel in their RV. They went from coastline to coastline, finally becoming snowbirds and lived-in different towns in Arizona. We all loved to go visit especially in early spring. They were both really involved in their park’s committees planning seasonable parties, birthday parties, and just because parties. They had 68 wonderful years together. Everyone that met them could s ee the love they had for each other. Dad was still just as active at the park where he resided in Meridian. He started a men’s coffee group, played pool and participated in all the gatherings at the club house. That is when he met Anita Winkel and for the last couple of years, they were lovingly close. They played cards every night, traveled places together and had dinner together almost every night. We are so thankful they met because it gave Dad a purpose to be happy and in love. Dad is survived by his children Brock (Jeannine), David (Marcia), Becky (Mike) Sucher, Cindy (Steve) Doherty along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Remembrance may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com. The Family plans to have services at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in the summer.

We Entrusted John Musgrave's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
