July 6th, 1952 - December 8th, 2014
Biography Kernersville-John Charles Pegg, 62, died December 8, 2014 following a gallant fight with Wegener's Disease. II Timothy 4:7 "He fought a good fight, he kept the faith, and finished his race." Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Thursday December 11, 2014 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Cash officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A lifelong resident of Kernersville, John was the son of the late Era Sisk Pegg and Aubrey Ragland Pegg. John graduated from East Forsyth High School and later graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was owner of John Pegg Auction and Appraisal Services. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church and the Nooma Sunday School Class. John gave of his time for different charities throughout the area by offering his Auctioneering skills when asked. "Have Gavel, Will Travel" Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years Debra Scott Pegg of the home; daughter Alex Pegg of Greensboro; son Auston Pegg of the home; brother Jack Pegg and Helen of Kernersville; and numerous extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church on Thursday.
