John Pulido
June 24th, 1923 - September 2nd, 2011
John Briceno Pulido, 88, was taken up by the hand of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 2, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He enjoyed living life to the fullest; spending time with his wife, family and friends. His greatest enjoyements were giving of himself to others, especially sharing God's Word, music and mangaging the family's Tex-Mex band, "Los Latinos", with his wife He served as a lifelong minister and servant of God for over 64 years at St. Patrick's, in Lubbock, Texas as Director of Cursillos. John and Natalie were one of the founders of Spanish Masses at St. Mary of the Nativity Church of Salinas. John was a hard-working, dedicated farm and ranch worker of 29 years in Idalou, Texas; employed by Firestone for 15 years; School Bus driver for 5 years at Chualar Elementary School. After his retirement; he spent time with his wife and children. John is survived by his wife, Natalie H. Pulido daugthers, Rachel (Ruben Alvarez), Dolores Pulido, Delia Webb, Becky (Frank Montoya), Rosemary (Rudy Garica), MaryEllen (Phillip Brizuela), and Norma (Jimmy Florez) sons, Roy (Mary Pulido), Rudy (Liz Pulido), Ruben (Yolanda Pulido), Richard (Terry Pulido), and Robert (Carmen Pulido) 30 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren also survive. He is preceded in death by grandchildren, Eden, Anthony and Robert, Jr. A Visitation will be held on today, Wednesday, September 7, 2011 4-9pm with a Rosary Recital 7pm all at St. Mary of the Nativity Catholic Church 424 Towt St. Salinas, CA 93905. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2011 10am at the Church. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
