John Robinson
April 3rd, 1921 - July 12th, 2010
John H. Robinson (Johnnie) passed Monday, July 12. Johnnie was born in Grafton, Massachusetts on April 3, 1921 to Mila and John Henry, Sr. He is survived by his sister Edith married to Dick O’Donnell and his brother George Robinson widower of Helen. Already passed were John’s sister Dorothy and her husband Bert York. Johnnie moved to Portland, Maine after graduation where he married Melva Jacqueline Carter his wife of 63 years. Johnny was a commissioned Sergeant in World War II. He was an artist, athlete and counselor. In the last 25 years he worked as a physical trainer at Atlantic Nautilus and Pro-Health Fitness in Merritt Island. He touched many lives with his kindness and love of life. He left behind many friends, his children and their families. He leaves behind his son, Skip Robinson and wife Delores (Portland, Maine) and their children Joseph, John and Amanda Mendoza: his two daughters Lynn Drouin and her husband Dan (Cape Canaveral, Florida) and their children John and Derek; and Pennie Wade and her husband Brian and daughter Brittany (Merritt Island, Florida). Johnnie will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery on September 17th.
