John Anthony Saric
May 14th, 1937 - October 25th, 2023
John Anthony Paul Saric, 86, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born in Wisconsin on May 14, 1937 to Paul and Ann Saric. On May 29, 1959 he married Nancy Karaba. They were married for 46 years before her passing in 2005. John was a Millwright for 46 years and a locksmith for fun in the 70’s, because he loved to tinker with things. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Before his body started to fail him he loved to ride motorcycles, tinker with anything mechanical and talk about the good ole days with anyone who would listen. He always had a joke or a story to tell. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of desserts and the generosity and love he had for his family. John is survived by his daughters, Debbie Saric of Sun Lakes, Arizona, and Annette (James) Brownfield of Salinas; grandchildren, Crystal, Kyle (Rikki), Brian and David; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Logan, Rhiana and Olivia; sister Agnes Hettwer of New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Saric of Kansas, Vicki Saric of Wisconsin and JoAnn (Marlyn) Klongland of Wisconsin; brother-in-law Lyle Henderson of Wisconsin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Cremation will take place and Inurnment will be at Garden of Memories in Salinas. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

We Entrusted John Saric's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
