John Phillip Scalf

On January 10th, a loving and caring son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson and friend was taken from us far too soon. John Phillip Scalf was born May 28, 1989 to John and Kelly Scalf. John Phillip, aka JP, was a young, aspiring 23 year old man. He had so many things in life he wanted to accomplish yet he didn't have enough time. He had a passion for cars, motocross, friends, family and his dog Cleo. He is preceded in death by his uncles, Russell Scalf, Russ Morgan, and John Morgan; his great grandparents, John and Donna Morgan and most recently by his great grandmother Maria Magdeline (Madeline) Marold. He is survived by his mother, Kelly; father, John; sister, Jenna Scalf of Belen; grandmothers, Lorraine Peters and Jean Scalf of Belen; grandfathers, Steve Scalf of Chicago and Juergen Peters of Albuquerque; uncles, Steven Scalf of Belen, Eric and Jeff Peters of Albuquerque; aunts, Karin Fogal of Monticello and June Kramer of Belen, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. His caring heart and great sense of humor will be greatly missed. Rest easy JP, you will hurt no more. A Celebrtation of John's life will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 607 Western Drive in Rio Communities.
