Shea, John Henry, 83, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute, St. Petersburg. Born in New York City, he retired to Florida in 1979 from Whippany, NJ. He received his Masters Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. He was a pressman for the Star Ledger and Daily Record, both of New Jersey, retiring after 25 years. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during WWII. He was Roman Catholic and a member of the Blind Veterans Association, Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge. He was predeceased by his son, William J. Shea. Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen M. Ward of Seekonk, MA and Patricia E. Shea of Whippany, NJ; one brother, Joseph Shea of Lecanto, FL; and three grandchildren, Patrick Ward, Christopher Ward and Peter Ward, all of Seekonk, MA. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes and Cremation Tribute Center ? Ninth Street Chapel.
