Svoboda, John R., 82, Largo, died Tuesday April 13, 2004. He moved here in 1979 from his native Cleveland, Ohio. He was a US Marine veteran of WWII serving in the attack of Pearl Harbor with the 4th Marine Division. He was a retired truck driver for the U. S. Postal Service, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Georgianna M.; a daughter, Maryann M. Fabrizio of Largo, three sons, John R. Svoboda, III of Craig, Colorado, Frank J. Svoboda of Cleveland, Ohio and Dennis J. Svoboda of St. Petersburg; four sisters, Doris Hagedorn of Olmstead Township, Ohio, Mary Gallitz of Mrytle Beach, South Carolina, Ruth Eichler of Independence, Ohio and Leota Hejl of Treasure Island, Florida and three grandchildren.
