VESSA, John A. Sr., 80 of Lutz, Florida, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013. He was born to Nicholas & Dorothy Vessa, in Flushing, NY and moved to Florida in 1951. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. John was a retired sprinkler fitter and a member of Idlewild Baptist Church, Lutz; American Legion; and 809th Airpolice Squadron. He is preceded in death by his stepson James McKay Halbert. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Lucy; son, John A. Vessa, Jr and wife Jessica; daughters, Brenda V. Tune and Dorothy Ann Vessa, stepdaughter, Margaret Haitmanek; brothers, Nicholas C. Vessa and wife Ellen, William Vessa and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Kristin and Brandon Tune & Lindsey Grace Vessa; A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be one hour prior. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Life Path Hospice.
