John J. Vogel

John J. Vogel, 85, of Seminole, Florida, passed peacefully on February 21st, 2015. John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Maryann Vogel; sons, Steve Vogel, Dan Vogel, Jim Vogel & Phil Vogel; Daughter-in-law, Nancy Vogel; grandchildren, Michelle Egan, Johnny Vogel, Anna Vogel, Vincent & Caroline Vogel and great granddaughter Daniella. John and Maryann's family also includes Rick Bankemper, Peggy & Ed Fernandez; grandchildren, Rachel Harlan, Ricky Bankemper, Casey Kennedy, & Kerry Kennedy; and great grandchildren Chloe, Ella and Bailey. John was originally from Columbus, Ohio and later worked and resided in Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky before retiring to Florida in 1989. Throughout John's life, he enjoyed politics, history, golfing, gardening and staying active throughout his retirement and especially within his community. Maryann Vogel and children would like to extend their sincere gratitude for outstanding caregiving provided by Pacifica in Clearwater, Florida. Also, a sincere "thank you" to all friends and family members who have provided care and support throughout John's Memory Care journey. God bless each and every one of you. John will be celebrated in Holy Mass on Monday, March 2nd, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd., Largo, Florida. A Military Funeral Honor Service will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 at 10:45 A.M. at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Florida 33744.
