John Edgar White II was born May 16, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas. His Savior called him home to glory on September 20, 2024 after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and friends. His wife Linda was by his side, holding his hand through his last days.

John was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia White of 48 years.

He is survived by his current wife Linda Baker White, his brother Vance and sister Sheri, three children and their spouses; Jeff (Jill), Mark (Lori), Kristen (Greg); seven grandchildren and spouses; Shelby (Brock), Mitchell (Rachel), Noah, Tyler (Jessie), Luke, Chase (Sidney), Jaden (Lydia), and one great grandchild, Collins Rae. Linda’s son Mark Olson and family Danielle, Emilee, and Aimee.

John and his family moved from Fort Worth, Texas to Grand Junction, Colorado when he was 11 years old. He graduated from Grand Junction High School and then took classes at Colorado Mesa University. He enlisted and served 4 years in the United States Navy completing a one year tour in Vietnam. He worked for 10 years with his dad at White Automotive at which time he received a divine call into the ministry (Isaiah 42:5-9). He attended an Assembly of God college in Springfield, Missouri and received his ordination from Rocky Mountain District. He served as senior pastor in Sterling, Colorado, San Luis Obispo, California, and Longmont, Colorado. John was known for his great sense of humor and his extensive knowledge of the Bible. He was passionate about preaching God’s Word and loved his God with all his heart, soul, mind and strength. He loved playing golf but mostly enjoyed the camaraderie of those with whom he played.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all those who have supported them during this time of loss but rejoicing with John’s entrance into heaven.
