John Wilkinson
October 25th, 1923 - March 28th, 2008
Mr. Wilkinson was retired from Wayne Hadley as an agricultural crop dusting pilot, retiring after over 20 years of employment. He served in the US Army Airforce during WWII. He was a member of Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church in Soledad, CA. He is survived by: four brothers; Richard (Jeanie) Wilkinson of Soledad, Edward (Mary) Wilkinson of San Anselmo, William (Ana Maria) Wilkinson of Petaluma, George (Cecilia) Wilkinson of Soledad; he was also a special uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by: parents, Herbert and Reine Wilkinson; brother, Rev. Thomas Wilkinson; and sister, Helen Patricia Wilkinson. In lieu of flowers mass offerings or donations may be sent to Our Lady of Catholic Church, 235 Main St. Soledad, CA 93960. At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
