John "Ron" Ronald Winarchick, Sr.

John “Ron” Winarchick, Sr., 80, of Hilton Head Island passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at his home. Ron was born September 14, 1943 in Johnstown, PA to John and Julia Winarchick. Ron graduated from Penn State University in 1966 as a mechanical engineer. After a career in various companies in manufacturing and management, he retired from Baldor Electric in 1994. Ron moved to Hilton Head Island in 1995. He acquired Hilton Head Signs in 1997. Ron was a parishioner of St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 4th Degree Knight. Ron was a past Commander of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was an Eagle Scout and served the Hilton Head community in various Boards and organizations. Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy, son Jack of Hilton Head Island and daughter Cami (Dusty) Bredeson of Charlotte, NC. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15 at The Island Funeral Home from 1-3pm and 4-7pm with a brief service at 6:30pm. A graveside service will be held in Johnstown, PA.
