John Michael Wojtowicz passed away from natural causes on Tuesday November 2nd at his home in Nampa, ID. He was born on March 29, 1973, in South Bend, IN to John and the late Georgiane Wojtowicz. Growing up, John attended Christ the King school and during his summers was active with outdoor family hiking activities and playing baseball. Later, he graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1991, then entered the electrical engineering technology program through Purdue at IU South Bend. He continued earning certifications in his field of work and moved to Seattle, WA before settling in the Boise, ID area where he worked as a Systems Engineer for the College of Western Idaho (CWI). He also did contract IT support work for Mountain States Appraisal and Consulting, Inc. His technical skills and know-how were instrumental in his missionary work & travel with Mission Aviation Fellowship, where he installed technology for indigenous church leaders, missionaries, educators, doctors, and evangelists living and serving in remote areas like Uganda. John had a great love for music. In his youth, he was in a band with his brother and best friend and played drums around South Bend and Elkhart, IN. He also played for Christ the King Catholic Church. After moving from Indiana, he was an active member at Bridgepoint Church in Boise and continued to share his musical talents there in the music ministry and outreach programs. He also enjoyed recording personal compositions with his close friend Valerie Gerardi. John touched so many hearts over the years and leaves behind a legacy of kindness. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by both of his grandparents and his mother, Georgiane (Harlozinski) Wojtowicz. John is survived by his father, John P Wojtowicz of South Bend, IN, sister, Suzanne (Scott) Gens, brother, Robert (Michele) Wojtowicz as well as niece Megan Gens and nephew & niece Nathan and Claire Wojtowicz. Services are pending. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bridgepoint Church, Mission Aviation Fellowship, or your music-related charity of choice.
