John D. Wolfinger

John Wolfinger, 67, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Gurnee, IL, passed away on November 15, 2018. John was born on August 2, 1951 in Camden, NJ to Francis and Mildred Wolfinger. He was Vice President of Quality Assurance with Abbott Laboratories for 30 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of PGI Civic Association, PGI Fishing Club, Grady White Club, and the Isles Yacht Club. He was also an avid fisherman, Fish Club Master, and also received his Captain's license. Survivors include his wife, Sheree Wolfinger, of Punta Gorda, FL; daughter, Jessica Wolfinger, of Punta Gorda, FL; and siblings Robert (Barbara) Wolfinger of Manassas, VA, Jane (Bruce) Bretthauer of Bangor, ME, and Steven (Jan) Wolfinger of Paradise, CA. He is also survived by special friends Janet Wolfinger of Lorton, VA and Daniel Luhrsen of Punta Gorda, FL. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 20th at 10AM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association at www.alsa.org.
