John R. Yetman
August 28th, 1936 - November 23rd, 2014
"John R. Yetman, 78, formerly of Everett, and most recently of Punta Gorda, FL and Bridgton, ME, died Sunday, November 23 in Springfield, MA. Born on August 28, 1936 in Lawrence Ma, he was the son of Emma Elsie (King) and Mark Yetman. He was a graduate of Northeastern University with a BA in Industrial Engineering and of TUCK school of business with an executive MBA. He served for 4 years as a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force, serving on the Atomic Bomb Commission. He was a life long member of the Simon W. Robinson Masonic Lodge, Lexington MA Jack lived for many years raising his family in Westford, MA where he was an active member of the Fletcher Club, the Jaycees and The Board of Appeals. He worked for many years at the former General Radio in Bolton MA, retiring from MSA In Pittsburgh PA as Director of Operations. He was an avid wood worker, leaving behind treasured works of art that he created for many members of his family. He was happiest in the home he built and shared with his beloved wife Carolyn in Bridgton, ME, serving for many years on the homeowner's association. For the last 16 years, they have spent winters in Punta Gorda, Florida, enjoying golf and working out with his friends at the health club. He will be missed for his amazing sense of humor, zest for life's adventures and the great capacity with which he loved his family. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn, daughter Beth Fisher, her husband Eric, their children Eric and Grace; daughter Susan Lattanzi, her husband Bob, their children Kristyn and Matthew, along with his sister Phyllis Metcalf, brother Robert Yetman and his wife Patricia, sister in law Corinne Yetman and many treasured nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter Nancy, a brother Frank Yetman, and brother-in-law Peter Metcalf. Services will be held privately at a later date. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to a local Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, or Wounded Warrior Project. "
