Life Legacy #1 Raider Fan for Life Beloved Son, Father, Grandpa,Brother, and Tío Johnny James Ortiz, 46, passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones. Born and raised in Salinas. Son to Johnny and Patricia Ortiz. Brother to 5 sisters, Patricia (Pebbles), Naomi, Vicki, Priscilla (Lala), and Jessica. Johnny was loved by all who came in contact with him. He will be missed dearly and his memory will live on through all his loved ones. Father of 6 children, Audrieanna, Johnny, Jesse, Aby, Noah, & Gregory. Grandpa to his one and only Abè Zayden. Tío to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 7pm, all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA 93905. A Chapel Blessing will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017 10am at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Cremation to follow services.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
