Jon Carpenter, 65, of Chico, California passed away January 28, 2014. Born in Quincy, California on April 21, 1948 to parents Arden and Patsy Carpenter. After graduating from Oroville High School, Jon joined the Marine Corps. After serving his country honorably, and being wounded in that service, Jon attended Butte College. John is survived by his daughters, Joni Carpenter of Wheatland, California and Kyle Carpenter of Citrus Heights, California; brother, Rick (Toni) Carpenter of Oroville, California; uncle, David (Audry) Brown of Virginia City, Nevada; and grandchildren, Boston, Karsyn, Hunter, Wyatt and Rylie and numerous nieces and nephews.
